Further proof that handmade weddings rock.
Celeste and Tyler wed at Wadley Farms in Lindon, Utah, United States. They chose a vintage theme and a delicate colour scheme that included champagne, cream, pale pinks, and splashes of mauve.
Truth be told, what really impresses us about this wedding are all the heavenly handmade details. Celeste explains, “I had a very specific budget I wanted to stay within and wanted to make my wedding beautiful without the expensive cost that often comes with it. A lot of my decor was ‘do it yourself projects’ or ‘do it your family projects’ would be more accurate.
Some of the details that were Family Projects were my bouquet as well as my bridesmaid’s bouquets, they were made of flowers made from fabric then hot glued to a Styrofoam ball, thank you sisters. The material for the mauve flowers in my bouquet actually came from one of the flower girl dresses from my mother’s wedding. The boutonnieres and corsages were made from fabric flowers similar to the bouquets.
My veil was another Family Project, we used bird cage netting to form the veil and hot glued a flower embellishment to it. I had a difficult time finding flower girl dresses that I (and the flower girls) liked so my mother made the girl’s dresses. I love the way they turned out. Another project was a wreath my sister made out of coffee filters (we don’t even drink coffee). For the base she used a circular wreath purchased at a local hobby store. She then hot glued the coffee filters to the wreath base, which added a beautiful delicate feel to the room.”
