Possum Kingdom Lake Wedding {Baleigh + Caleb}

This charming affair sent our hearts into pure uncontrollable admiration.

Baleigh and Caleb wed at The Harbor on Possum Kingdom Lake in Graford, United States. “After we got engaged, there was not a question in our minds about where our wedding would be. We were getting married at Possum Kingdom Lake. The ceremony was held at the Chapel on the Harbor at Possum Kingdom Lake. To meet our number of guests, all of the glass doors of the chapel were slide opened which allowed for extra seating and ended up creating a wonderful breeze throughout. A long-time family friend of mine, Jared Witt, gave the ceremony. It was absolutely perfect. After the ceremony, our guests met at the Harbor Grille Restaurant on the lake,” says Baleigh.

The bride wore an elegant Allure Couture gown, style C228 and explains, “After trying on 14 dresses, I knew I had the perfect dress for me. It was soft and romantic. It was a slim fitted A-line ball gown that accented my natural waistline and then flared at the hips. It featured intricate lace applique details and beading on English net over an all-over lace to create dimension. It was completed with a strapless sweetheart neckline, mid back design, and a fit and flare skirt. The back of the bodice and chapel length train are adorned with covered buttons that complete this feminine gown. It had ‘Baleigh’ written all over it.”

The couple chose to style their wedding with delicate blooms, soft pops of colour, candlelight, elegant lace and natural elements such as wooden logs, stumps and burlap. Baleigh comments about the reception, “Lace and burlap linens, romantic groupings of various floral arrangements in antique bud vases, mercury glasses and soft colourful milk jars adorned the tables both inside and outside. The wonderful bride’s cake, specially made by Sugar Bee Sweets, was set onto a collection of old family crates. Bridal party bouquets accompanied the cake to pull in some pops of colour. The band, Identity Theft, was set up outside along the water’s edge under a white pitch tent.”
